Homeland Security SA Success Report
While conducting routine patrols through the precinct and along Godfrey Avenue, a member of the Homeland Security - Glenwood UIP TRT noticed a Quantum taxi parked outside one of our client's properties.
In order to investigate further, we called for backup and were assisted by two metro police officers, who were conducting foot patrols along Umbilo Road at the time. The officers helped establish contact with the owner of the taxi, confirming that it had indeed been stolen.
The taxi owner arrived at the scene and explained that the vehicle had been taken approximately two hours earlier from the taxi rank at the market. He expressed his gratitude for the swift response and recovery of his vehicle, specifically thanking the Homeland Security GUIP team for their effective intervention.
