High-Speed Vehicle Chase - Homeland Security SA

Posted by Jonathan Nivison on

A Snipr activation was triggered for a silver Honda Jazz (BXXXXZN) in the Glenwood UIP precinct, prompting HOMELAND SECURITY SA to dispatch all units.

The vehicle was located at King Dinizulu, in a popular drive-through, with one foreign male driver occupant. Upon the approach, the vehicle fled the scene, leading to a high-speed chase towards the CBD. The driver eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled into a block of flats on Maud Mfusi Street.

It was confirmed that the vehicle was linked to a house robbery in Pietermaritzburg, and the driver is known to law enforcement. The vehicle was impounded by Metro Police.
