On 02 July 2025, at approximately 15:18, Homeland Security SA received an alert from a valued client—owner of a well-known shop in the Mayville area—reporting that one of their customers had fallen victim to a remote jamming incident.

An inter-agency effort was immediately initiated. Through investigation, the suspect vehicle was identified as a white VW Polo Sedan bearing registration number C##### ZN. After the victim opened a case at Mayville SAPS, a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) was issued for the vehicle.
