INCIDENT REPORT
Subject: Cable Theft Suspects Caught
Location: Rick Turner Road, near Howard College Gate 3
Summary of Events:
At approximately 10:10 AM while conducting a routine patrol on Rick Turner Road in the vicinity of Howard College Gate 3, Homeland Security TRT members observed two BM walking together, carrying a significant quantity of electrical cable.
The officers approached the individuals and conducted a field interview to determine the origin of the cable. The suspects were unable to provide a reasonable or consistent explanation.
Homeland Security immediately contacted the Cable Theft Unit, who responded swiftly to the scene. Upon inspection, it was confirmed that the cable in question belonged to the Municipality.
SAPS Umbilo was contacted and arrived shortly after. The two suspects were then transported to Umbilo SAPS for further investigation and processing.
