Hillcrest Fraud Suspects Apprehended

Subject: Hillcrest Fraud Suspect Apprehended

Location: Glenwood Area, Durban

 

Summary of Events:
On 07 July 2025, at approximately 23:46, the Homeland Security Special Operations Team received interagency from a crime fighting partner that a white Toyota Hilux, bearing registration number B##### ZN, wanted in connection with Hillcrest CAS ###/05/2025 for defrauding a victim of over R200,000, had entered the Glenwood Urban Improvement Precinct (UIP).

 

The Homeland Security Glenwood UIP Tactical Response Team (TRT) successfully spotted the vehicle travelling along Lena Ahrens Road. While tactically following the vehicle, backup was called. Additional tactical units arrived and safely surrounded the vehicle, which had two occupants.

 

Homeland Security control room immediately contacted the investigating detective from Hillcrest SAPS, and both suspects, along with the vehicle, were escorted to Umbilo SAPS for further processing. The suspects and vehicle were formally booked in at Umbilo SAPS.
