Incident Summary:

At approximately 12:15 AM, our control room received an emergency alert from a CCTV system we monitor for a residential complex in Glenwood. Live footage revealed a suspect actively breaching the perimeter wall and unlawfully entering the premises.

Thanks to our real-time CCTV monitoring capabilities, operators quickly assessed the situation and relayed a detailed description of the intruder to our Tactical Response Team (TRT). Using live video feeds, our control room coordinated with precision, guiding the team straight to the suspect’s location on the property.

Within minutes, Homeland Security tactical response officers arrived on site and swooped in, apprehending the suspect; the stolen goods were recovered before they could be removed from the premises.

Umbilo SAPS arrived shortly thereafter to arrest the individual and transport him to Umbilo Police Station for further processing.

Impact Statement:

This high-impact intervention demonstrates the power of live CCTV monitoring combined with rapid tactical response. For property managers and business owners, it’s a powerful reminder that proactive security saves time, protects assets, and delivers real results—when every second counts.
