Incident Summary:

At approximately 13:15, an urgent cry for help was received on the BSURF Crime Alerts WhatsApp Group that there was a break-in in progress on Esther Robert's Rd. Our team was immediately dispatched.

While patrolling the area, our tactical unit saw a Bravo Mike fitting the given description. With coordination between the two members in the vehicle, they surrounded him and called for immediate backup; an additional Homeland Security Glenwood UIP Tactical Response unit arrived.

With the suspect secured, KZN OCC was notified and dispatched Umbilo SAPS to the location.

The officers arrived promptly, took custody of the suspect, and transported him to Umbilo SAPS for further processing and investigation.

Thanks to the rapid response and sharp observation of Homeland Security teams, the suspect was apprehended within minutes, preventing further criminal activity and ensuring the safety of the community.
