Incident Summary:
At approximately 03:06 on 14 August 2026, Homeland Security SA received a panic activation from one of our valued clients on Bulwer Road, reporting an armed robbery in progress. Homeland members were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, a Homeland Security Glenwood UIP TRT member obtained details of the vehicle used, a blue Renault Triber, which had already fled the scene. The vehicle description, together with the direction of travel, was immediately circulated to all operational units.
Homeland Security members subsequently located the vehicle travelling along King Dinuzulu Road before it turned onto Stephen Dlamini Road, where it was successfully intercepted.
KZN OCC was immediately notified and dispatched SAPS members to the scene. Umbilo SAPS and Berea SAPS both attended, where a firearm and stolen property were recovered and handed over to SAPS for further investigation and processing.
It was later established that the suspect was allegedly linked to two separate robbery cases.
