On the 14th of January, a blue BMW with reg BJ7… that had been involved in theft in Pietermaritzburg entered the Glenwood UIP precinct.
As the vehicle passed one of our Glenwood UIP ANPR cameras. We received an alert by Snipr that the vehicle was wanted for theft from a property.
The vehicle was spotted a short distance away by the Homeland Response Team on Crart Avenue in Glenwood. The location was circulated, and numerous security companies responded, as well as the Umbilo SAPS team.
The driver was detained and the vehicle booked in with the Umbilo SAPS team.
