Hijacked Vehicle Recovered – Homeland Security SA

Incident Date: 19 October 2025
Location: Glenwood UIP Precinct, Durban


Summary of Events:

At approximately 19:10 on 19 October 2025, Homeland Security SA received intelligence regarding a white Nissan NP200 that had been hijacked in Nkandla earlier this month (CAS 22/10/25).


The vehicle was detected traveling along Che Guevara Road within the Glenwood UIP Precinct. Responding swiftly, Homeland Security Tactical Response Teams, together with the Homeland Security Glenwood UIP Unit, were immediately dispatched to intercept.


Moments later, the wanted vehicle was located outside a popular food outlet in Glenwood. Tactical teams swiftly surrounded the vehicle, securing the scene and detaining two male occupants without incident.


The vehicle and suspects were escorted to Umbilo SAPS,  where the vehicle was booked into SAP 13.
One suspect was officially arrested, while further investigations remain ongoing.
