Incident: Armed Robbery – Two Female Victims
Date 23rd September at approximately 15:30
Location: Glenwood, Durban

Summary of Events:

At approximately 15:30, Homeland Security received an urgent report via the Umbilo Special Operations Group that two female residents had been robbed at gunpoint while walking in Glenwood.

Patron Shield immediately circulated the make, model, and registration of the suspect vehicle. Homeland Security obtained the login details of one of the stolen phones and began live tracking its location.

The vehicle was traced to Newlands West, where Homeland Security teams intercepted and called for backup. Tracker SA, who was nearby, quickly responded to assist, and contact was made with the registered owner of the vehicle.

The driver — a relative of the owner — was tracked down and voluntarily accompanied authorities to Umbilo SAPS to provide a statement.

Thanks to swift multi-agency collaboration, the suspects were identified, and critical leads were secured for investigators.
