Incident Summary:
At approximately 00:20, the Homeland Security SA Control Room received an intrusion alert from our AI-powered CCTV monitoring system protecting a residential property on Brand Road. Live footage confirmed a suspect, dressed entirely in black, jumping over the property’s boundary wall and entering the premises.
Control Room operators immediately dispatched Homeland Security Glenwood UIP TRT and Tactical Response Units to the scene.
Using live CCTV footage, the Control Room guided responding members directly to the suspect’s location, providing continuous real-time updates throughout the incident.
Within minutes, Homeland Security Tactical Units had strategically positioned themselves around the suspect and successfully apprehended him before he could escape.
The suspect was handed over to Umbilo SAPS for further investigation and processing.
