On 16 May 2026, Homeland Security TRT and Homeland Security Glenwood UIP TRT received an urgent alert via the BSURF Community Group regarding a Mitsubishi truck (Reg: CSXXXXXX) that had just been stolen from Garner’s Lane within the Glenwood UIP area.
Homeland Security Reaction Units were immediately dispatched and responded to location updates received from the vehicle’s tracking company, which led members to KwaMashu J Section. Upon arrival, only the vehicle’s tracking unit was recovered.
Despite this setback, Homeland Security members continued searching known hotspot areas and remained committed to locating the stolen vehicle.
Their persistence paid off.
After an extended search, members successfully located the stolen truck abandoned just off Nogwaaja Road in the Ntuzuma B area.
All necessary procedures were completed, and the owner was safely reunited with the vehicle.
